The Waner Robins Police Department is launching a new Community Information Service designed to deliver important and timely information to residents in our area using the latest technology.  This free service, created by Nixle, LLC delivers trustworthy and important neighborhood-level public safety and community event notifications by Web, email, and/or cell phone.

Nixle, LLC developed the system to ensure secure, trustworthy, and reliable communications between government agencies and the communities they serve.  Warner Robins residents can now be informed to events such as road closures, missing children, endangered missing adults, potential suspect information, and other events related to the Warner Robins Police Department. 

The Warner Robins Police Department has the option of broadcasting messages to all users or only send out messages to users in a specific geographical location to where the event is occurring. 

Users of Nixle can choose the way to view the information.  Users can decided to receive information through text messaging (standard text messaging rates apply), email, and/or viewing messages from the Nixle website.  Another option is the addition of unlimited locations such as addresses of work, school, home, and other neighborhoods. 

The information provided to Nixle is private and secure.  Nixle does not track users and does not allow advertisements on their website.  The information is not given to third parties.

The Warner Robins Police Department strives to send messages only when alerting the public is necessary.  If users decide to receive "Community" messages, the user may receive occasional information regarding events sponsored by the Department. 

Nixle is just another way for the Warner Robins Police Department to connect and work with the community to keep citizens safe and informed.
