Notice to Police Applicants
Police Officers are selected under the Classified Service System of the City of Warner Robins. Applicants will be subject to actions of the Human Resource Director and Interview Committee that will:

Test, interview, examine, and pass upon the qualification of all persons who desire employment with the Police Departments;

Cause a thorough investigation to be made of the character, experience, background, physical fitness including a physical readiness test of the applicant;

Investigate all police records, all previous employment, past places of residence, personal habits, military records, educational background, and other areas deemed pertinent;

Obtain a written credit report on the applicant; and
-
Require a complete physical examination at the city expense, including a drug screening, psychological evaluation, and polygraph examination.
Minimum Requirements for Police Applicants

A high school education or its equivalent as recognized by the Georgia Department of Education. (Minimum GED score of 45 per section - total 225).

Minimum age limit to apply is twenty (20) years. Applicants must reach the age of 21 prior to graduating the academy.

Pass the physical readiness test, assessment center, physical examination, drug screen, psychological exam, and background investigation (polygraph included).

Willing to work in harmony and on any shift assignment.

Must be a citizen of the United States.

Must possess a valid drivers license. Required to have a valid Georgia license by hire date.
Waiver and Release of Claim
The applicant for employment in the Police Department of the City of Warner Robins certifies that taking the physical readiness test for such employment will be a free and voluntary act on their part, and in consideration for the City of Warner Robins, considering me for employment in the Police Department, the applicant waives and renounces any and all claims, losses, damages, actions, and causes of action against the City of Warner Robins, its agents, servants, and employees for any injuries, which the applicant might sustain in the taking of the physical readiness test or in any manner growing out of or resulting therefrom, and the applicant forever releases and discharges the City of Warner Robins, its agents, servants, and employees from any and all such claims, losses, damages, action, and causes of action.
