The School Liaison Unit consists of six officers who are assigned to the Houston County school system. The Unit
currently covers 26 schools within the city limits of Warner Robins. All officers are sworn police officers with a
minimum of two years experience with the Warner Robins Police Department.
School Resource Officers (SRO)
School Resource Officers are assigned to the high schools within Warner Robins. The SRO is responsible for
making sure the campus is a safe learning environment. The SRO patrols the campus in an effort to help deter
any actions that could interfere with classroom instruction or the safety of the school. The SRO also
provides security at most extra cirricular activities.
A.D.V.A.N.C.E. Officers
A.D.V.A.N.C.E. (Avoiding Drugs Violence and Negative Choices Early) is a program taught to all fifth grade students
in the school system. The goal is to educate the students of the dangers of drugs, violence, and gangs. Another goal
is to articulate the importance of making good decisions.
